My Little Noodle Chop Jasmine

It was with most likely the hardest decision Andy and I have ever had to make. Our little Jasminder had seen as many wonderful days on this earth as she had needed. Her time was up!!! As much as I wish we could of kept her longer she had reached the point where her quality of life was not what she deserved!

I rescued Jasmine from the SPCA about 6 years ago. The whole purpose of being at the SPCA that particular day was to try and find a friends missing cat. After visiting with all the lonely cats I decided that I should really take one home! Jasmine was who I chose (mind you at that time she went by the name Patches and I just couldn't stand it so a name change was in order for her new life) . She had been at the SPCA for 7 months and they figured she was about 7 years old!!! She had been having some health problems for the last few years and we thought we were going to lose her last year, but she just kept on truckin'.

We are missing her dearly and both feel a real void in life these days! It is amazing how attached you get to your household creatures! I don't really know where I think she is, but if it is somewhere I like to think she's at Rainbow Bridge with all the other animals and family members we have lost!!!

Labour Day Fun and my first blanket

I can't believe that we are already a couple of weeks into September!! Wow! Time is going much too quickly. I have already been married for over three months............and yes we are still married!!!!!!! Loving it!

We were lucky enought to get invited over to the Streets cabin for the labour day long weekend. What a great place. We enjoyed the company of Jenn, Brad, Emma, Rich, Higgy, Paul, Lindsay, Tyler, Abbie, Yoen, and of course ourselves. Having small children around was an adjustment in the early morning and a blessing by day. We all had a fabulous time and I can't wait to go again.

Talking of little ones, I was very excited that my dear friends Dania and Casey are now enjoying life with their new little angel - Ayla Violet Cumiskey. She is so sweet and it is very special to have such good friends be blessed with the birth of a healthy little girl!

Since the day I found out the Dan was preggers I knew it would be a great idea to make my very first baby blanket. To follow in Knaughty Knitters tradition I made a blanket with all different squares. It was really fun to make and satisfying to finish a project!

Fall and winter are just around the corner so hopefully I will complete more great projects.

Some projects I would like to complete:

1. Make a wedding album

2. Organize craft room

3. Update bathroom

4. Update den

Just four to start, but I know I have way more in me. My wonderful husband just made me a wonderful dinner - gotta go!
